I made a fancy table of D.S. R&D product lines as a template on the wiki (see here) Changes to the template may be requested, and I will update it as new product lines are created. I will start updating the pages with the long non-templated version on Thursday ( Valve time permitting)

Thank you Sam, nice work. May I suggest however that you change it to products and services as the R&D group, which is listed there, is not a product. If you were interested, I am still curious to see if we can put together a massproduced and scaled down version of your gun. I hesitate to get into arms trading but perhapse we can focus on it as a scientific delivery method, or a bartending tool.

I can make the gun unable to chamber anything but specialized syringes, the original is simply a (admittedly well working) prototype. The caliber can be easily changed to something smaller, but its use as a weapon is still rather limited as it cannot use the comparatively small pistol ammunition normally found in police departments and malls. I also am working on a new syringe sleeve (Gordon Freeman), which should be done by the time I return to Whittenside.

Are you proposing to use the template on the bottom of the pages or the code from the template?

I will remove the long links section, and put in {{DSRDproducts}} in their place I will leave the tinyurl links where they are, though.

I do not see the culinary line on the template, am I missing something? Maybe my browser window is too narrow.

Albert, I was thinking of a product based on some people I met while with the Locketteside Valks. One of them claims to have a flesh eating mutation. Would post outbreak corpse eating road salt be a viable product? If so, which line would it fit in?

The culinary line was on the template version, but not on the on page version. I simply forgot to make the change to it when I added it to the template.

The Template is now on all D.S. R&D pages, and includes all D.S. R&D "branded" pages. It DOES NOT include the PK/Rot databases. Should I include those on the next revision of the template? If I include the rotter database, it will become its own subpage of D.S. R&D

We may want a services template and a products template. The services would be the group and the two databases. I have been planning to move the rotter database to a subpage for a while now but have not gotten around to it. By the way, I like how the template boxes resize themselves as the screen adjusts, is that a wiki default for borders or programed in?

Sigmund, that sounds good to me. When you are done just let me look over it if you please. After that, if you want me to post it I will and provide propper attribution, or you can set up a wiki account and do it yourself. We can worry about the classification after the writeup is done. It may be able to fit in the essentials line but more than likely we will need to create a utilities line for it.

I can easily add two more rows to the template if it would make more sense as two rows (services on top, products on bottom, or something like that). The rotter DB on its own page is also beneficial because we can put it in a table that doesn't create an XBOX HUEG page. Sorting by name, UDID, etc. could be handy as well.

Updated master template only on my userpage ( here), I'll update the template on Friday, assuming no feedback. I'd like to thank whoever put the rotter DB on its own page, also. Thank you very much!

The new template looks nice Sam, though we may want to see about a monochromatic version of the rotters database graphic so the green is not so out of place.

Also, you may want to fix the typo in the PK database logo - it reads "anomolies" when it should read "anomalies". I lack decent image manipulation software, so I'm not going to do it myself because it would look terrible.

Finished update of PKrotter database to a table - I'll update it with the products template on Friday, unless there are major problems. Fun fact - we have cataloged exactly 120 rotters EDIT: PK database is next project, and a rather minor one at that. Can't believe I didn't catch this sooner.

Please stop updating the rotter DB until I am finished with the update, thank you. EDIT: FINISHED NOW! You can go on and break the damn thing now, I suppose

I have a new product idea. Please let me know what you think and provide any needed copy editing. If we decide to post it to the wiki, it will need a graphic but for now I thought text only would give everyone the idea.
While on his travels in Western Malton, Sigmund Amenhauser encountered a group of individuals called the Locketteside Valkyries. As he observed, he noticed that a heated discussion seemed ongoing between a man named Cipherace, who appeared to have undergone some form of genetic manipulation augmenting his strength and size, and a man by the name of Doc Harmanz. Sigmund, not wishing to appear rude yet extremely curious about their conversation, busied himself with treating some of the assembled survivors near enough to these two so that he could overhear. As he listened, he learned that his original assumption was correct: Cipherace had been the subject of genetic manipulation that had apparently created an instability in his genetic code. The passionate dialogue that had attracted Mr. Amenhauser to them in the first place was aimed at finding a cure to this terminal condition before the victim broke down into a puddle of cellular remnants. Sigmund came to the conclusion that this had to be related to rot virus infection and offered to assist. He extracted a DNA sample, with the permission of Cipherace, and left to examine it in a lab as the hospital facilities were not up to the task. His findings were interesting. The genetic manipulation had caused the body of the subject to secrete an enzyme that bolstered the immune system by attacking foreign cells. At some point, most probably during a stint of zombification, the glands that produced this enzyme became zombified themselves. Not being part of the standard revivification process, this modified gland did not experience revivification with the rest of the body, causing the enzyme it produced to cannibalize other cells. Over the years, the augmented healing shared by Maltonians balanced out this effect, but as time went on, the scales began to tip in favor of the zombified gland. With the help of Dr. Schwan and his other colleagues Sigmund isolated the enzyme and produced a special Necrotech needle to revive the gland. Unfortunately, that needle was destroyed along with the data used to produce it when an organization of retro fashion-challenged clones calling itself the Heathers, attacked and destroyed the building at the behest of the local zombies. What became of Cipherace himself is still unknown, but what did survive was a sample of the enzyme itself and the technology to reproduce it.
Sigmund was able to adjust it to target only inert cells so that it was a threat to neither zombies nor humans. After extensive testing he determined that the substance was now harmless to anything save completely dead tissue. But how to use this to improve Malton? As he paced the streets, the answer struck him hard on the toes of his left foot as he tripped over one of the many corpses that line the streets of Malton. As a public health issue, they had been treated with a preservative by Necrotech scientists years before to eliminate the fetor and disease associated with the fact that that they cannot be properly disposed of. Hopping on one foot, he cursed at the preserved corpse and poured some of the solution on it. It promptly deteriorated into a thin film covering the street on which it had lain. And with that, the idea for Schwan industries’ newest product, Corpse-B-Gone Road Salt was conceived.

I checked it over quickly, I see no obvious typos. Put it in the "Essentials" line (because who DOESN'T trip over bodies daily?).

I have repaired the behavioral anomalies database logo. Good work Sigmund, you manged to even adopt the tone of the other entries rather well. I corrected a couple of thing: Cipherace spells his name with an "i" rather than a "y" and Locketteside is in Western Malton. On the whole, very good job. Will you be creating a wiki account or do wish Sam or me to post it on your behalf?

I am working on a design for a new product line: D.S. Industrial. I think this may be a good place for Sigmund’s product and for a mass market product using Sam’s gun technology should he create one. Such a line might be of great use to groups like the one Oliver encountered in Milltown.

I'm working on a revolving shotgun - 6 shot, similar to this. Current problems lie in the weight (almost as much as three "normal" shotguns!), and the strength of the chamber. Thankfully, it hasn't exploded on me yet.

I have added new interesting data to the life-cultist page based on solo's research. It pertains to the practice of picking clean local corpses to prevent softened zombies from regenerating HP. It may be found HERE. This could prove very useful to members of ZALP.

I stumbled across Z.A.L.P. as part of a debate on the wiki about the regional group classification structure. They are seeking to discover if playing strategies like life-culting or death-culting warrant a change in the way that groups are listed within a suburb. If this debate holds interest to you, you may view it or chime in HERE .
